This is something we’ve been working on that I’m very excited about: the brand spankin’ new Food Bloggers Network!

It’s a community driven site where members submit their favorite posts from food blogs, and vote on them! (Think “Digg” for food bloggers).

I hope you’ll join in and share your delicious food blog posts with us!

Will it make you hungry? Yes. But what I love about this round is how interesting all of the write-ups were. Make yourself a cup of tea and go read them.

I hope it’s not too early to mention that I’ll be hosting January 2008’s Lasang Pinoy: Crockpot Cooking! To join in the fun, I suggest you sign up for the Lasang Pinoy mailing list.

It doesn’t sound very sexy, but I’m loving Open Source Food, a new “social network for food lovers”. Lots of gorgeous food photos and delicious sounding recipes abound, but my favorite section has good to be the Tips area, where I got tips on poaching eggs and taking better food pics.

It was the latter that led me to first discover Burnt Lumpia, with his entry titled I Think I Shall Name Him… Kal!, wherein he- an American Pinoy named Marvin- searches for and finds a kalamansi tree to call his own:

“Pssst!” I heard him say to me as I walked past.

“Pssssssst!” I heard the familiar call again.

“Pssssssssssst! Hoy!”

And there he was, a lone Filipino hidden behind Meyer Lemons and Valencia Oranges. I had found the one and only Kalamansi tree in the nursery. Woohoo!

Since then, Burnt Lumpia has been one of my daily blog visits. His latest post, An American Pinoy in Paris, features, among other things, some mouthwatering gelato and- my all-time favorite, and what has to beone of the greatest inventions of man- french macarons. Mmmm.

This is my first post in a new category for this blog, Delicious Food Blogs. You can expect more features on other food blogs I love coming soon.

I’m a sinigang nut, and can have it every day. This version, made with fish in miso broth, is what I’m craving right now.

The list of Asian women foodbloggers is growing, much to my happiness.

Her Week of Miso Soup, for example. Her food photos are wonderful without looking “too styled” like many food blogs these days. They just… make me hungry.

Serious Eats calls themselves “the first website for serious eaters”- and although I don’t necessarily agree (I mean, what about Chowhound?), I’m fast becoming addicted to this site that features blogs, photos and videos on food.

Yahoo Food has quickly become a daily visit for me. I must say I’m loving a lot of what Yahoo’s been doing lately. On their Food section, I’m particularly enamoured by their list of “Recipes people want NOW”- which, right now, has salmon, eggnog, soup, brownies, and salsa as the top five.

Fancy Toast is a blog I’ve just discovered, and yay! The photos are gorgeous, the writing is entertaining, and- oh, it just makes me hungry. Always a good sign. Also, I can relate to the latest post praising husbands who bake… I’m another lucky, lucky girl.

And thanks for hanging in there. There will definitely be yumminess again soon.
